Terms of Service

Last updated 7 August 2026

These terms apply when your business uses SiteCrew. By registering a business or signing in with a worker code, you agree to them.

Who the account belongs to

The account belongs to the business, not to individual crew members. The person who registers the business is the owner and controls who can join, who is a manager, and whether the account is exported or deleted.

Crew members sign in with their own email or a 6-digit worker code issued by the business. Codes and passwords must not be shared.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep sign-in details secure and deactivate worker codes when someone leaves.
  • Make sure the records you enter — particularly timesheets and hours — are accurate. We provide the tool; the business remains the employer and is responsible for its own employment and payroll obligations.
  • Only add other people's personal information where you're entitled to, and tell your crew that their records are held in the app.
  • Don't upload unlawful, harassing or infringing content, don't attempt to access another business's data, and don't misuse or overload the service.

Your data is yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into the app. We hold it to provide the service, and we don't sell it or use it for advertising. We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics to improve the product.

Subscription and cancellation

Paid plans are billed per business in advance. You can cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated. We may change pricing with reasonable notice before your next renewal.

Leaving: export and deletion

Before or after you cancel, the account owner can request a full export of the business's data, and can schedule deletion of the account from within the app. Unless you delete it sooner, data is retained for 7 years after cancellation and then permanently removed. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages at our infrastructure providers, or events outside our control may interrupt it. Notifications depend on your device, its operating system and network, and on third-party delivery services.

Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't be excluded by law, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or has unpaid fees, after giving notice where it's reasonable to do so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction.
